• Locking problems.
  Some applications suffer from deadlock or lockout. Bixoft is not only capable of tracing the cause and remedying it, we also can help you to formulate coding-standards to prevent these problems from recurring in the future.
   
  
• Concurrent access to several datasets.
  It is very well possible to access records from different datasets (or from a single dataset) concurrently. Not all 3GLs, however, offer adequate facilities for such concurrent access. Bixoft can help you build the required programs. It is also possible to build a generator for programs that facilitate concurrent access on datasets.
   
  
• Speed up crucial parts.
  Bixoft can help you to speed up your programs. Possible options to achieve this are:
  • Parallel execution of I/O.

  • Spawn subtasks.
    By spawning subtasks more things can be done in parallel. This may achieve considerable reduction in response times.
  • Optimize code.
    Heavily used routines can be rewritten such, that they run optimal under the most frequently occurring conditions.
  • More efficient distribution of code over page frames.
    Frequently used and infrequently used code segments should as much as possible be gathered into separate page frames. This helps to minimize the number of page faults.
     
    
• Parry errors.
  Your application should under no circumstance abend. Yet abends do happen. By applying an assembler-shell these abends can be prevented.

• Compatibility.
  By applying compatibility-modules you can shield parts of your application from changes in other parts of the application. By building backward compatibility into the compatibility-module you can reduce your maintenance projects greatly in size.
